And welcome to the exciting news that The Digit-al Dozen are hosting our first nail art contest!

We're incredibly grateful that so many of you follow us, so we wanted to give some of the love back - you'll see how when you get to the prize.

So, what it is? A nail art contest based on the theme of Easter. This can include Easter eggs, bunnies, chicks - anything seasonally appropriate.

When does it start? It will launch on 2nd April, giving you just over a week to come up with a CRACKING (sorry) design.

How do I enter? Ok, this bit is REALLY important. You CANNOT post your mani on our Facebook page as it will ruin the voting, and any manis posted in this way will just be deleted, no questions asked.
The ONLY way to enter is to send a PM on Facebook to The Digit-al Dozen, attaching your photo. If you have a blog (and you don't need a blog to enter), please put your blog name on your photo.

On April 2nd, all the manis received will be moved into a photo album on our Facebook page, and the voting will commence! Voting runs until 9th April, at which point the 3 manis with most votes win .... as well as 2 other manis chosen by the editors (that would be Crumpet, Heather and Ashley).

So, what do you win? Well, April 14th sees the start of the next Digit-al Dozen Week, and on each of the 5 days, one of the winners will be invited to post HERE on our blog, showing their winning mani and describing how it was created. We will also link you to the other Digit-al Dozen manis posted that day,and share you on our Facebook page and IG.

If that sounds EGG-CITING, get your nail art on! You can PM your mani to us any time before the 2nd, but remember, you CANNOT post it directly on our page wall.

Hi, this is a great challenge. One question: do I need to be a Facebook friend/fan? Is it open internationally?

Hi Moni,

Yes, it's open internationally, and not you don't need to be a FB friend/fan to enter - but if you're following us on FB it's easier to follow the contest. :)

Is it allowed to post the mani on our own blogs on April 2nd, or can we only post it on our own blogs after the contest is over and winners have already been chosen? Oh, and can we add our usual watermarks on the pics before we send them to you? Can we send sketched out ideas, made on photoshop illustrating what the mani would look like, or must it be a real mani picture? One last question (wow, I had a lot of them =) is the deadline April 2nd, or does it start them?

Hi Marie,
The deadline is April 2nd, in other words, you should get your nail art to us by then because the voting will start on that day. Your photos should be finished nail art (not sketched ideas or illustrator) and you can put your watermark on them. Also if you want to post your design to your blog that's not a problem.
